Not one to seek out conflict, marine biologist Sarah Sumner finds her place with her found family on the M/V MerSea. Veiled inside a crew of conservationists, she fights for the whales in the Southern Ocean around Antarctica.
On a speedboat with Swedish deckhand Gunner at Sarah’s side, they harass the Japanese whalers with smoke bombs, potato launchers, and prop foulers. Not looking for love, she sees her anti-whaling experience as another box to check on her bucket list of animal activism. But one kiss from Gunner has her heart and mind afloat.
While in Australia preparing to fight for sharks, Sarah is stung by a lab-grown stingray. Transforming into a mermaid, she becomes a fish out of water. The only way to hone her skills is to return to the MerSea and save the whales. Not sure how Gunner will react to her new appendage, how will she start a relationship with a tail?
