Married To A Merman

Hola Merfolk!
Mellony has just married Garrett. The adventure starts with the couple on the tall ship Maria Fulgria that is part of Mellony’s dowry. Married to a Merman by Elena Moore is set in the 1800s mixed with historical and paranormal romance. Mellony isn’t loved by her family or husband and she isn’t the most skilled person or smartest either. After being thrown overboard by her dickhead husband, a merman rescues Mellony. The merman, Pelayo, is equally naïve and doesn’t seem like he’s going to be much help, so Mellony needs to be her own hero. Mellony decides to go after Garrett because he has her family ship, and he is about to buy slaves. Mellony finds the strength and wits to outsmart him. Pelayo will protect Mellony at all costs. And it’s Pelayo’s love that awakens Mellony’s self-worth. The sensual love scenes are titillating between two curious species. Unexpectedly, Garrett and his men find the merfolk and try to kill them. Mellony and Pelayo fight Garrett and his savage crew. But, Mellony gets a little help from a witch who summons a demon to create a weapon—a globe of obsidian to destroy ships.
Married to a Merman is well-paced with descriptions that bring the story to life. Moore is really great at creating a captivating story with dimensional characters.
